Qiddiya Coast

Qiddiya Coast has a site area of 13.5 km², with over 18 km overlooking pristine waters. The site is located 64 km north of Jeddah corniche, 12 km from Highway 5, and is adjacent to Durrat Al Arus.

The objective of Early Works package 1, is to prepare 6,200,000 m2 of the site and bring it up to formation level ahead of the infrastructure and building works packages. Please see figure 2 overleaf.
At a high level the scope will mainly include the following:
1. General Requirements (site set up, lighting, contractor site accommodation, power, water, etc.).
2. Site offices for the Employer’s and Consultants’ use.
3. General site clearance & vegetation removal and disposal.
4. Demolition and disposal of existing structures.
5. Ground testing.
6. Trial pits if required.
7. Dewatering if required.
8. Excavation work to formation level, no dredging at this stage.
9. Filling work to formation level, no land reclamation at this stage.
10. Material testing.
11. Ground Improvement.
12. Site fencing and security gate.
13. Construction Access Road.
14. Poles for time-lapse cameras: 12 Nos. of 25m free-standing.
